By signing this waiver, I confirm that I am voluntarily choosing to participate in, or to permit my minor child to participate in the MGH Legacy Run 2026. I understand that this event involves physical exertion and carries certain risks, which may include — but are not limited to — injury, dehydration, slips and falls, collisions with other participants, interaction with vehicular traffic, and exposure to varying weather conditions.

1. WAIVER AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

I, the undersigned participant (or the parent/legal guardian of a minor participant), hereby:

Voluntarily accept and assume full responsibility for all risks, both known and unknown, associated with participation in this event.

Release, discharge, and agree to hold harmless the event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, partners, and all affiliated individuals and entities from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, damages, or legal actions that may arise as a result of my participation or that of my minor child. This includes, but is not limited to, claims for personal injury, illness, death, or property damage, even if caused by the negligence of the individuals.

2. MEDICAL FITNESS AND AUTHORIZATION

I certify that I (or my minor child) am in good physical condition and adequately trained to safely participate in this event. I understand that immediate medical assistance may not always be available on the course. In the event of an emergency, I authorize race officials and medical personnel to provide necessary medical treatment for me (or my child).

3. COMPLIANCE WITH RULES AND CONDUCT

I agree to follow all event rules, regulations, and instructions provided by organizers and volunteers. I understand that failure to comply with such rules may result in my (or my child’s) disqualification or removal from the event without refund or recourse.

4. DATA PRIVACY AND CONSENT FOR INFORMATION USE

By joining this event, I consent to the Ozamiz Lifestyle Runners (OLR) collecting and using my name, race result, and category for the purpose of posting official race participants, results, rankings, and promotions. This is in compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012. I understand that my information will be used solely for legitimate organizational purposes.
